It is hard not to become discouraged. I'm sorry that you had to meet a
manager with poor communication skills. Sometimes it seems that they will use
any excuse to get you out of their hair. Stick with it. My first two years in
the restaurant business I delt with some of the same types. After thirty years
it all gets better. If I don't like the way a manager does something I can
actually do something about it. Stick with it you'll be a good bartender after
you get some mileage, you seem to want it enough...
