A bartender just coming out of school would quickly find themself in hell if
they started bartending in a busy place. And you have been out a whole year.

I just got out of school and I think barbacking would be the best place to
start, some places the bartender does his own barbacking. And that means
washes and stacks their own glasses, make the mixes, cut the garnishes
etcetera.

No. Most people out of school ask to jump right into the fire.

Not much in a job I'm afraid for the next few weeks. Not until students go
back to school. I spoke to a owner of a restaraunt that wants to hire me as a
bartender, he said his bartender is going back to school in three weeks.

Try barbacking if you can.

How do I pour? What is 'cl', 'oz' and 'pt'? How should I handle glassware?.
