Actually they do not use any solid sugar in any of their drinks.  They use 
sugar cane juice.  There are two products sold in grocery stores.  One brand 
name is Goya and it is dried sugar cane that comes in a solid block.  Mix it 
with warm water and it becomes sugar cane juice.

As far as blending, the only drinks that might have to be blended are the 
drinks that use solid fruit (or at least blend the solid fruit before adding 
it to the jar) and also the drinks that require blending the ice with the 
drink.
