Subject: If You Use Frozen Fruit Can You Eliminate The Ice?
From: Kent Garber

I find that ice in a drink dilutes the flavor and the flavor is not consistant
throughout the drink. In this recipe it says:

"For an even frostier drink to serve on a hot day, freeze the banana and
strawberries before adding them to the blender."

Can I eliminate the 3 cups of ice or some of the ice?

Strawberry-Banana Colada

1 mashed ripe banana
1/2 pint mashed strawberries
4 ounces cream of coconut
6 ounces rum
3 ounces banana liqueur
3 cups crushed ice

Place the banana, strawberries, cream of coconut, rum, and banana liqueur in a
blender and process until smooth. Add the crushed ice and process until smooth
and thick. Pour into chilled glasses.

Makes 4 servings. Preparation Time: 5 minutes. Total Time: 5 minutes
