The defination of a tot is: "a small drink or allowance of liquor". It is not,
by any means, a definite amount or measure.

When I come home at night I may pour a little brandy in a glass as a night
cap. This would be a tot.

When making these drinks change the word "tot" to "measure" in most of recipes
you listed, the one that mixes amounts and tots, well, you may have to
experiment with that one and get it the way you like.
