In '77 or '78 We were making Long Island Iced Tea's with vodka, gin,
run, tequila, triple sec, sweet and sour, and cola. Friday's and some of the
other formula bars started flash blending them. It changes the flavor slightly
but not significantly.
Where were you drinking in the mid eighties?
It is pretty comon for bartenders that don't know a recipe to try to
duplicate it and use the same name. Check out sex on the beach, or Flaming Dr.
pepper in the drink recipies you'll see what I mean.
