Kent, Thank you very much for your imput, I appreciate it very much. This is
my first experience working for a faternal organization, not a public bar and
I hope my last if they are all like this, I have members of another Faternal
Organization coming in trying to persuade me to come to their club for work
but I have heard rumors that they have the same problem there where they
expect the Bartenders to provide them with sexual favors, I have worked Bars
in Indiana, Texas and this is my first time to encounter this problem, sure
some of the custumers hit on you but handled properly and in a joking manner
it causes no ill feeling on either party. I have seen just about everything
imaginable in the past 19 years and I really enjoy Bartending if the job
market in my area was not so bad I would just walk away and go to work some
where else, but I cannot afford to quit till something else comes along that
pays the same. This club is so ridiculous you would not beleive it, the so
called President of this organization has a wife how provokes arguments with
other members gets falling down drunk everytime she is there uses the F word
constantly, a month ago she threw a drink on a prospective new member then hit
a woman member in the back and called her obscene names, I told this person
she had to leave, her husband the President told me to go to H---. I went
before the trustee board they refused to bar her for 30 days because of who
she is. any other member in this club would have gotten 90 days for doing half
of what she did, last week the same woman screamed obscenities at half the
members at the bar, so I took her drink away and cut her off. Now I am told it
was unfair to her that I should have warned her I was going to cut her off and
in the future I can not cut her off without warning her no matter what she
does. This is just an example of the type of running the organization, it's
like they have rules for the members but the rules do not apply to the
Trustees, but in fairness to the trustees the minority of the them are decent,
fair minded but they get out voted by the ones who throw the rule book out the
window.
