The Hand Grenade was invented at The Tropical Isle on Toulse St.The second 
tropical isle is on on bouron st. you can get their mix at tropicalisle.com

The orgininal was made with golden grain,midori,pineapple and a splash of oj.

The Hurricane was invented at Pat O'brians on St Peter Street.

You can buy the Pat O'brians mix in some grocery stores and on line at

Anothe drink invented in New Orleans (but not the French quater) is the Sazerac

2 0z bourbon,1 tsp fine sugar,2 dashes picaurd bitters sugar ,3 dashes of 
pernod

in mixing glass stir bourbon,sugar and bitters until sugar dissolves.
in rocks glass pour pernod over ice,strain bourbon mix into rocks glass
