Subject: Margarita - Rub the Rim with a Lemon or Lime
From: Kent Garber
Posted: Fri Jun 22. 2001, 14:44 UTC
In "The Book of Cocktails" by Jenny Ridgewell, for a Margarita it mentioned to
rub the rim of the glass with lemon juice.

Margarita
1 1/2 oz Tequila
1 oz lemon or lime juice
1/2 oz triple sec or Cointreau
Cracked ice
slice of lemon
wedge of lime

Wipe rim of glass with lemon juice and dip in salt to frost. combine Tequila,
triple sec or cointreau, lemon or lime juice and ice in shaker and mix well.
Strain into glass and garnish with slice of lemon and wege of lime.

The only way I would wipe the rim with lemon juice or the slice of lemon is if
I made this margarita I included the 1 oz of lemon juice.

Any thoughts on this?
