Avocado
Avocado is native to the tropics and sub-tropics, and has a lush, buttery texture and mild, faintly nut like flavor. The skin can be thick to thin, green to purplish black and smooth to corrugated. The flesh is generally a pale yellow-green and softly succulent. Once avocado flesh is cut and exposed to the air it will discolor rapidly. The addition of lemon or lime juice helps to prevent discoloration. Source: The food lover's companion by S.T.Herbst.Used in the following 2 drinks: |
