Subject: Concord Grape & Cachaca Cocktail

I was quite pleased with this one, even though it sure as hell ain't brain
surgery.

The complexities of the concord grapes and a decent cachaca complement each
other nicely. Like most Cachaca drinks, it's way too easy to drink.

Don't go using green or red table grapes for this. The sweet tart flavor of
the concord grapes is important. Cocktail is a lovely light purrrrrple from
the grape skins. My wife called it Grape Ape; but, that name is already taken
and I haven't thought of anything else catchy.

Concord Grape & Cachaca Cocktail

6-8 Concord Grapes, sliced in half
1/2 tsp sugar
2 oz Cachaca

Muddle grapes and sugar in a cocktail shaker. Add cachaca and ice. Shake to
chill and strain into cocktail glass.
